The Pantheon

5, Rue Lhomond, 75005 Paris, France

The Pantheon is situated in Paris , France and is one of the city’s major attraction.

The Latin Quarter is crowned by the great dome of the Pantheon, the final resting place for Paris's greats such as Voltaire, Victor Hugo and Marie Curie.

It was built by Louis XV for Sainte Genevieve in gratitude for her curing him of an illness. Its opening in 1789 coincided with the start of the French Revolution.
