Paris City Guide

The city of Paris is one of the most romantic in the world and ideal for simply wandering around to soak up the undeniable atmosphere.

Hotels in the centre of the city are plentiful and charming. Well-known chains have properties here, but there are also many independents with historic hotels here.

Much of the city can be reached by strolling along the wide boulevards, along the River Seine or by wandering through the atmospheric narrow streets.

Top Things in Paris City

The Parc du Champ de Mars is a large, dramatic looking park. 780 metres long, it is the wide swathe seen in pictures taken from the top of the Eiffel Tower.

Basilique Sacre Coeur, an historic Roman Catholic church that is a proud old building and one of Paris’ landmark buildings.

The Marais area is the place to go for buzzing nightlife. This is a regular haunt for the gay crowd, but all are welcome.
