Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is located in Berlin, Germany and is considered amongst the city’s main church , with visitors from all over Germany and other countries. Kaiser Wilhelm Memorial Church is one of Berlin's most famous buildings, located in the centre of the Breitscheidplatz and overlooks the Kurfürstendamm and the Tauentzienstrasse. The church was built between 1891 and 1895, by architect Franz Schwechten, as a gift to the German people from the then Kaiser Wilhelm II who had it built in tribute to his father. The church is open from 9am - 7pm every day with services on Sunday at 10.00 am and 6.00 pm. You can join a guided tour (not Sundays) in the Hall of Remembrance at various times throughout the day. You will see part of the tower remaining after the church was bombed in World War II whilst the new parts consist of four structures designed by architect Egon Eiermann. Look out for the hexagonal tower and worship room as they are quite unique.
