The central figure seen in the fountain is the god of the sea, Neptune, riding a chariot in the shape of a shell and pulled by two sea horses. On each side of Neptune are statues, representing Abundance and Salubrity. The rococo-style Poli Palace provides the perfect backdrop to the fountain.
