Guell Park

Parc Güell Barcelona, Spain

Guell Park is located in Barcelona, Spain and is considered amongst the city’s main attraction , with visitors from all over Spain and other countries.

From the dragon fountain that adorns its entrance to the gaudy mosaics on the walls to the twisting rock pillars that seem to grow from the ground, Guell Park bears the unmistakable stamp of its creator Gaudi. Now a municipal garden, Park Guell was commissioned by Catalonian patriarch Count Eusebi Güell as an estate for the rich. However, the local elite weren't too keen on Gaudi's design so the land was donated to the city in 1923. Guell Park features an elaborately-tiled terrace at its top which offers splendid view of the park itself and of Barcelona beyond.
