La Alhondiga is a popular building in Bilbao that was built back in 1906. It is rectangular shaped with aligned and chamfer interior naves.

Because Bilbao is a port city, bridges are significant. The Puente Colgante is an iron structure that was constructed at the end of the 19th century. It transports vehicles and people across water by means of a mechanical platform that moves. It connects the Portugalete and Getxo areas. Another famous bridge is the Puente de San Anton next to the San Anton Church. This bridge was built before 1300 and reconstructed in 1602.
