If you want a true taste of royalty, take the spiral staircase all the way to the top of the castle and check out the view of the River Ebro.
The Poblet monastery dates back to the 13th century and was ceded to the old Cistercian order by the Count of Barcelona. The Aragon monarchs chose it for their Roman temple; its own library was especially famous.
The Circo Romano or Roman Circus was built in the latter part of the 1st century AD, possibly during Emperor Domitian's time. It was used for chariot races and other events.

The Musea Comarcal del Montsia houses various collections on ethnology, the natural world and archaeology.
The Aquopolis offers various marine attractions such as a 50 kph Kamikaze slide, the Black Hole, and Aquamania that consists of a swimming pool with pulleys, rings and nets, twisting slides, straight slides, a hydrotherapy pool, a wave pool, river rapids and a triple slide. Small children have their own area with special attractions, and families have their own game area that includes bumper boats, mini golf and other games and fun.
