overall good hotel not great just good

i liked this hotel, iv not been in many hotels but i have had a varied experience from pubs to travel inns. this hotel was good in the sense you get what you pay for, the rooms where cheap. i was in a party of four, two single rooms and one double.

the only niggly things where the fact the shower came upto chest height, which i have come to expect being 6ft 1, poor choice in hotel food, but plenty of choice nearby, annoying rumbling noise coming from vent somewhere, not that light a sleeper though.

good things where breakfast, some of the staff where helpful even befriended a scottish guy who works there, and the first night on arrival greeted me very nicely, and made me feel welcome. although the same cannot be said for all staff.

all in all a not bad hotel, good for a bed and a breakfast, used it for a jump off point to go to birmingham bike show, also while in birmingham, if you like galleries or art installations then pay a visit to "the public" which is bout two miles away in west bromwich b707pg

oh and one other thing, seriously slow down going over the two speed bumps on the road in, no matter what i did i could not avoid scraping my underside on them, so annoying, meant to complain to the staff but forgot till i tried to leave.
