Piccadilly Guide

Piccadilly is the name of a street that runs through the centre of London, but most people associate it with Piccadilly Circus, one of the most famous sites in London. Finding a hotel in Piccadilly will give you nearby access to some of the most famous streets in London, including Regent Street and Shaftesbury Avenue. The central location means that accommodation tends to be on the steep side.

Top Piccadilly Attractions

Piccadilly Circus, a road junction situated in the City of Westminster, is the must see site in the area, famous for its enormous neon advertising and its statue of Eros, the Greek god of love.

Green Park is located just off Piccadilly Street and houses the most famous palace in the world, Buckingham Palace, something that can't be left off any itinerary for visiting London.

The Royal Academy of Arts is also in Piccadilly and is one of the best galleries in London.

Arts and Entertainment

Arts and entertainment are a very prominent in this part of the city and are numerous theatres, and cinemas close by. The Criterion Theatre is located just off Piccadilly Circus and has been hosting exceptional productions, such as The 39 Steps, for over 100 years. The Piccadilly Theatre is located just behind Piccadilly Circus and has hosted a string of hit West End musicals, if you're looking for the perfect West End theatre, this will be it.

Piccadilly accommodation is going to be expensive compared to some parts of London but will not reach stratospheric prices. Cheap hotels in Piccadilly are probably still going to set you back a fair amount, but if you're looking to save you might be able to find promotional rates online.
