At the end of January, the Chinese New Year celebrations conclude in Trafalgar Square at midday and the event usually includes a speech by the Mayor of London and leading Chinese diplomats. St George's Day, in April, is another impressive celebration of English culture and heritage.

Staying this central in London means you will find mostly hotels that are catering to customers seeking luxury accommodation without much concern about the price. For the most part, Trafalgar Square accommodation will be very expensive, but it is possible to find accommodation for less if you look carefully.
