Located in Las Palmas, Casa de Colón is a museum exploring the relationship between the Canary Islands and the New World. It's located in the former Governor's House, where Christopher Columbus paid a call on his maiden voyage to the Americas. Multilingua cards outline the story of Columbus' four voyages and there are exhibits of the wonders he encountered in the New World. The museum is divided into five areas with displays on the settlement, cultures and peoples of the New World. Casa de Colón also houses a collection of paintings dating from the 16th to the 19th centuries.
