City Chambers, Cochrane St, Glasgow, Glasgow City, UK
Glasgow's City Chambers were completed in 1889 and are a fine example of civic Victorian architecture. Currently serving as the HQ for Glasgow City Council, they stand on the eastern side of George Square. Daily tours of the Chambers are offered, ending at the Upper Gallery on the third floor. Visitors can enjoy sights such as the magnificent Banqueting Hall. This is where Nelson Mandela received his Freedom of the City in 1993.
