Experience life in the former East Germany in the DDR Museum. Interactive displays offer a hands-on simulation of life under communist rule. It's all authentic even down to the smells and its hands-on nature extends to visitors rummaging through drawers and closets. Watch old TV shows and listen to East German pop songs for a feel of the culture of the time.

Among the exhibits is the East German car, the Trabi. You can turn the ignition key and hear the engine's rattle. Then take a simulated drive though a grim housing estate.
