London Eye
|
Riverside Bldg, County Hall, Westminster Bridge Rd, Lambeth, London SE1, UK
Until the opening of the London Eye on the cusp of the new millennium, London had always lacked a lofty vantage point to compete with the Eiffel Tower or Statue of Liberty. Also known as the Millennium Wheel, the London Eye is a Ferris wheel offering a 30 minute slow whirl with views over the city and beyond. Perched 135 metres high on Waterloo Millennium Pier on the South Bank, it's perfectly situated straight across from Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament.
