The Picasso Museum in Barcelona has been open since 1963 and contains over 3,800 works by Pablo Ruiz Picasso, the museum is an important element in learning about Picasso's life and special relationship with Barcelona and many of the paintings are from his early years. You will find a large collection from the Blue Period, as well as important representation of works from 1917 and the series, Las Meninas (1957) and a recently added collection of prints. Don't miss the new exhibition, Living Things, which has some amazing still life sketches, studies, prints and paintings.
