Built in 1064, this Pisan Romanesque masterpiece was emulated throughout Tuscany. Its stunning exterior is marked by characteristic bands of cream and dark green marble, and its facade features four tiers of columns. Other notable sections include the splendid 16th-century bronze doors which replaced the original wooden ones that burnt in 1596, and the famous Leaning Tower which is the bell tower of the cathedral.
