Welcome to The Parthenon

Known as the city’s historic centre, the neighbourhood known as the Pantheon is home to some of the most famous places and monuments in the city such as The Colosseum, Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain and of course the historic and worldwide renowned Pantheon . You will most likely have these landmarks on your list of places to visit but even after exploring these historic places there is still so much more to see and do in this neighbourhood.

It’s a great neighbourhood to observe both Italians and the tourists the city attracts. This neighbourhood holds a lively atmosphere where cafes and outdoor vendors abound. Possibly one of the most notable historical features of this area is that this is where the Emperor Julius Caesar was brutally stabbed to death on the steps of Pompey’s theatre.

And of course you will sure to visit the historic building after which this area is named. And the good news is it’s free to do so. While undoubtedly impressive from the outside, the real magnificence of The Pantheon is arguably best appreciated from within. From the coloured marble which forms the interior of this ancient Roman temple to the grand columns and floor, you are certainly going to be impressed by the design of this historically sophisticated and significant building.
