The main attractions are the Colleges of the University and the Backs along the riverbank. The most famous building in Cambridge is King’s College Chapel, with its fan vaulted ceiling, stained glass and stone carving. Cambridge has excellent museums including the Fitzwilliam Museum with a fantastic collection of antiquities and art.


The first Saturday in June sees the most popular free music and arts event in Cambridge, Strawberry Fair. The Fair hosts a great variety of music genres from local performers and those from further away, something for everybody. There are also craft and food stalls as well as community stalls where local people show off what is going on in Cambridge. There is a parade through the city and a film festival.>
